Three charged with prostitution at Secaucus hotels: authorities

Three women, including one from China, were arrested by Secaucus Detective Division officers on charges of prostitution at Secaucus hotels, authorities said.

The Oct. 19 arrests are part of an ongoing effort to combat vice crimes within the town, police Capt. Dennis Miller said. The two other women arrested are from California. Stephanie Bryan, 30, of Sacramento, California, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. on Oct. 19. Jinping Zhang, 42, of the Jiangxi province of China, was arrested 90 minutes later, at 7:10 p.m. and Elysha Lewis, 21, of Cameron Park, California was arrested at 8:45 p.m., Miller said.

Al three women, who were arrested at different hotels in town, were charged with engaging in prostitution and promoting prostitution, Miller said. Bryan and Zhang were issued summonses and released. Lewis was found to have an outstanding no-bail warrant out of California, Miller said. She was issued complaints and taken to the Hudson County jail.
