Kyle Butler inks deal with Austrian club

Jamaican Kyle Butler will be playing his football in Austria for the next 10 months. Earlier this week, Butler signed a contract with LASK Linz in Austria Bundesliga after moving from St Andrews FC Malta for an undisclosed fee. 

A message from the Austrian club stated: "The 20-year-old half brother of Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey signs at the LASK and changes immediately as a co operation player to FC Junior Upper Austria.

The offensives midfielder from Jamaica comes from St Andrews FC in Malta and signed on contract until June 30, 2019."

RECENTLY ELIMINATED

Lask Linz who were recently eliminated at the qualification stage of the UEFA Europa League are in fifth place in the Austrian Tier One League.

A release from Kyle's father and agent Craig Butler said: The attacking midfielder is equally adept at playing behind the striker as deep in the middle of the pitch orchestrating attacks.. He previously played at Krc Genk in Belgium where he top scored in the under 23 before signing with St Andrews.

"A Nike endorsed player Butler brings a high level of professionalism and skill to his game and we are certain he will be an asset to Lask Linz."
