LOVELAND — U.S. News and World Report has ranked Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland as the No. 5 best hospital in Colorado, according to a press release from UCHealth, the nonprofit health system that owns the hospital.

UCHealth’s Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins came in 10th in the annual rankings, according to the release, and University of Colorado Hospital in Aurora was No. 1 for the seventh year in a row.

The magazine’s Best Hospitals rankings, in their 29th year, “are designed to help patients make informed decisions about where to receive care for life-threatening conditions or for common elective procedures,” the release said.

U.S. News and World Report evaluated more than 4,500 medical centers nationwide in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions, the release said.
