The 2017 4A state champ and 2018 runner-up captured the girls Colorado Junior Match Play championship on Wednesday at Plum Creek Golf Club in Castle Rock.

Lehigh defeated Holy Family High School’s Hailey Schalk, the two-time defending 3A state champion and the 2016 junior match play winner, 4 and 3 to claim the title. Lehigh beat Charlotte Hillary of Englewood 4 and 3 earlier in the day in the semifinals.

Lehigh clinched the final match in convincing fashion by striping a 4 hybrid from 210 yards out to within inches of the hole for a tap-in eagle on the 15th hole.

Tyler Severin of Johnstown finished runner-up to Jack Castiglia of Lakewood in the boys championship match.
