  • Leon Edwards claimed the biggest win of his career against Donald Cerrone
  • Ovince Saint Preux rallied to submit Tyson Pedro in round one of the co-main
  • Jessica Eye makes it two wins in two with decision over Jessica-Rose Clark
  • Jingliang Li dominated Daichi Abe while Petr Yan stopped Teruto Ishihara

Leon Edwards looked completely comfortable en route to a decision win over Donald Cerrone in the main event of UFC Singapore on Saturday morning.

Speaking after the win, the Birmingham native urged the UFC to return to his hometown and called for a showdown with fellow ranked welterweight Jorge Masvidal.

'Dana White, Sean Shelby, UFC Birmingham, me, Masvidal, let's go — make it happen!' roared Edwards in his post-fight interview.

Cerrone was already covered in his own blood by the midway point of the second round. Edwards opened him up in the first round over the right eye and he continued to target the area in the second with elbows and his jab.

In the final exchange of the second round, 'Cowboy' held onto Edwards glove and landed a head kick, leading the Birmingham native to have a word with the referee.

'Cowboy' grew into the fight and had a lot more success in the striking exchanges in the third round. The veteran also had passages of success in the fourth round when he managed to briefly take Edwards to the canvas.

Although he got the young Brit down in the final round, the judges clearly thought that Edwards did enough to claim victory in his first UFC main event, with all three scoring it 48-47.

Ovince Saint Preux snatched victory from the jaws of defeat after Tyson Pedro rocked him in the first minute of their light heavyweight clash.

The Australian blasted him with a right hand and looked to lock up a guillotine choke. When 'OSP' escaped, he claimed top position and attacked a kimura, which forced the tap from Pedro.

Considered a top light heavyweight prospect, Pedro has no lost both of his tests against ranked opposition in the UFC.

Jessica 'Evil' Eye's emotional post-fight interview underlined how much she is enjoying competing at a lower weight class.

Eye had lost four fights in a row at bantamweight before the UFC rolled out the flyweight division and after 15 minutes against Jessica-Rose Clark, she made it two wins in as many tests as a flyweight.

With the division still in it's infancy, Eye could be considered one of the top challengers in the division.

But with champion Nicco Montano still out injured and awaiting a showdown with Valentina Shevchenko, Eye might need another flyweight win to her name before challenging for the belt.

Jingliang Li romped back into the win column with a one-sided striking showcase against Daichi Abe.

Abe's durability was nearly as impressive as Li's dynamic arsenal. He ate several shots over the 15 minutes that looked like they had the potential to stop the fight.

Following the win, Li called for a spot on UFC's next event in Beijing, which is rumored to be happening in August.

Blue chip prospect Petr Yan looked every bit as devastating as he was billed in his UFC bow where he took just one round to finish promotional veteran, Teruto Ishihara.

The former ACB champion exploded into action with two minutes left on the clock and rattled Ishihara with a combination.

A piston-like left hand introduced 'Yashoba' to the canvas but after getting back to his feet he ate a spinning back fist and a right straight that eventually saw the fight to an end.

Yan hopes to compete at UFC's inaugural Russian event in September following the debut win.

Earlier in the night, 20-year-old Chinese sensation, Song Yadong, made it two stoppages in as many appearances under the UFC banner when he stopped Felipe Arantes.

He dropped the Brazilian with an overhand elbow and poured on strikes before the referee stopped the fight.
