No one found in, near pickup after fiery crash north of San Marcos
A pickup slammed into a tree and caught fire in San Marcos on Wednesday evening, but once the fire was out, authorities found no one inside or near the wrecked car.
The crash on North Twin Oaks Valley Road, north of Deer Springs Road, was reported shortly before 8 p.m., the California Highway Patrol reported on its online incident log.
The log stated that once the fire was out, no one was found inside the vehicle, nor in the burn area around the car.
No further information was immediately available.
