NH Primary Source: Cavanaugh endorses Corriveau in District 4 Executive Council race
ENDORSEMENT IN DISTRICT 4. Two weeks after entering the District 4 executive council race to succeed congressional candidate Chris Pappas, former Manchester Alderman Garth Corriveau has picked up a significant Queen City endorsement.
Ward 1 Alderman and state Sen. Kevin Cavanaugh is formally on board with Corriveau.
“As the father of two young boys and with a third on the way, Garth knows firsthand the challenges facing New Hampshire’s hardworking families,” Cavanaugh said. “He cares deeply about our communities and building a better, safer future for our kids. He will bring an important, new perspective to the Executive Council.”
Corriveau said he was honored by the endorsement, calling Cavanaugh’s special Senate election win last summer “proof that real leadership is about identifying problems and working together to get results.”
Earlier this week, we reported that Corriveau was endorsed by the Manchester Police Patrolmen Association and Manchester Association of Police Supervisors.
Corriveau is in a primary race with Londonderry Town Councilor Ted Combes.
Meanwhile, on the Republican side of the council race, former Manchester Mayor Ted Gatsas tells New Hampshire Primary Source that he has filed a political committee with the secretary of state’s office and has begun fundraising and grassroots organizing activities.
As we reported last week, Gatsas has primary opposition in former state Rep. Jane Cormier of Hooksett.
