Investors love south Alabama

A local investment group paid $375,000 for 5 acres at the corner of Baldwin County 20 and the new street, Boulevard de Sevilla in Foley near Lowe's Home Improvement store, and plans to develop a small retail center, according to Stacey Ryals of Hosteeva Realty and managing partner of the investor group. Boulevard de Sevilla will lead into Sevilla Place apartments which should open this summer.

An investor paid $675,000 for a service station at 9801 Celeste Road in Saraland, according to Mamun Siddiq of Re/Max Partners in Mobile.

A local investor paid $300,000 for 11,090 square feet of industrial space at 3704 Moffett Road in Mobile, according to Justin Toomey and Nathan Handmacher of Stirling Properties, who represented the seller. Alan Garstecki of JLL worked for the buyer.

Caroline's Treasures/the-store.com has leased the 13,750-square-foot showroom and warehouse at 2850 Government Blvd., in Mobile, according to Lewis H. Golden of Hamilton & Company, who represented the tenant. Caroline's Treasures is currently on Cottage Hill Road and is a locally-owned retailer and manufacturer of more than 200,000 home and garden products. All the products are made by hand in Mobile and sold wholesale and retail worldwide. Their new location is occupied by Universal Supply Company and the full-service glass company plans to relocate to 2814 Government Blvd, according to Vallas Realty, who represented Universal.

Atkinson's Jewelry has leased 1,852 square feet of retail space at 1127 Saraland Blvd., in Saraland, and plans to relocate to the new space in early summer, according to Jill Meeks of Stirling Properties, who handled the transaction.

Coastal Cottage Living Real Estate plans to relocate to 1,220-square-feet of retail space at 2099 Loop Road off Perdido Beach Boulevard in Orange Beach next month, according to Jill Meeks of Stirling Properties.

Soul Bowlz has opened at 4413 Old Shell Road in Mobile, according to Buff Teague of JLL, who represented the tenant. This is their third location in the Mobile and Baldwin county.

Local Realtor developer Leonard Kaiser is seeking city approval to develop Midtown Eateries, a mobile vendor court with 5 food trucks in his existing commercial project, Midtown Gulf Shores off West 2nd Street in Gulf Shores, according to city records. The vendor court site features live oak trees and would include a dining courtyard, restroom facilities, a small events lawn and a stage for performances, according to WAS Design, a landscape architecture and land planning firm in Foley. The Gulf Shores Planning Commission has approved the project.
