[Updated] Police, ambulance and fire personnel are on scene in the North Shore Road area by Shelly Bay this afternoon [Jan 18] following a collision. Further details are limited at this time, however we will update as able.

Update January 19, 12.37pm: A police spokesperson said, “Around 1:10pm Thursday, January 18th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported collision in the North Shore Road, Doctors Lane Hamilton parish area.

“Initial information suggests that two vehicles, a car and a truck, were involved.

“The driver of the car, believed to be an 86 year old Hamilton parish man, apparently sustained a cut to his forehead but remained conscious and alert.

“He was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance, treated and later discharged.

“Inquiries continue regarding the circumstances of this collision and any witnesses are encouraged to contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
