Carson Daly recently paid tribute to his mom, Pattie Caruso, on Thanksgiving.

“The Voice” host shared a photo of some of his late mom’s handwritten recipes that he used to prepare his feast with his family. Daly’s wife, Siri Daly, also remembered her mother-in-law and how they would always wake up on Thanksgiving morning to the sound of her pots and pans clicking.

According to People, Daly’s mom passed away on Sept. 17 after suffering from a heart attack. She died in her home in Palm Desert, California. The “Today” host expressed his sadness over his sudden loss two days later on Twitter.

“Today” host Matt Lauer also made an announcement about Caruso’s death on the show by reading a statement from Daly.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, wife, grandmother, Pattie Daly Caruso. She passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 17. Kiki, as she was known to her grandchildren and many others, touched so many lives with her kidness, her giant spirit and her love of life. She’ll be terribly missed by her family and the world, but her spark will shine for eternity,” he read.

Five weeks after Caruso’s death, Daly suffered another loss in the family with his stepdad Richard Caruso’s demise. Richard battled bone cancer and eventually succumbed to the illness. He passed away on Oct. 25, and Daly shared a sweet tribute to him on his Instagram account.

Prior to Richard’s passing, Daly asked his followers on Twitter to include him in their prayers. The host revealed that his dad’s health was in “peril.”

Meanwhile, Daly’s biological father, J.D. Daly, passed away after battling bladder cancer. At that time, Caruso was just 35 years old. She eventually married Richard.

During an episode of “Today,” Daly talked about his biological father’s death and said that he still remembers that day. He said that his mom told him about his dad’s death by saying that he’s not coming home. In 2013, the host said that he had been blessed with “two incredible dads.”
