A Pontiac man faces a retail fraud charge for allegedly trying to steal iPads at a Bloomfield Township store and then returning the next day.
Bloomfield Township police say Terrell Hardy, 22, attempted to steal two iPads from the Target Store at 2400 Telegraph Road back in August, but was stopped at the door by the store’s loss prevention worker. After a brief struggle, he left the store empty handed.
The next day, police said, he returned and was identified as a suspect, though he denied being there the day before. He was eventually tied to the attempted theft through surveillance video and witness information.
Hardy is in the Oakland County Jail, unable to post bond issued at his Nov. 15 arraignment before 48th District Judge Diane D’Agostini. He’s due back in court Nov. 28.
