STEM solutions will be showcased

A “Classroom of the Future” event will take place at Ocean Breeze Elementary, in Indian Harbour Beach, on Thurs., Nov. 2. Technology-based STEM solutions will be showcased including virtual and augmented reality, coding, design, video and collaborative furniture.

BREVARD COUNTY • INDIAN HARBOUR BEACH, FLORIDA – A “Classroom of the Future” event will take place at Ocean Breeze Elementary, in Indian Harbour Beach, on Thurs., Nov. 2. Technology-based STEM solutions will be showcased including virtual and augmented reality, coding, design, video and collaborative furniture.

Brevard Public Schools is collaborating with Connection and The Douglas Stewart Company on the interactive event to inform educators about these resources. The “Classroom of the Future” demonstrates what a modern classroom can look like and how to implement emerging technology.

Participants will have the opportunity to test products and receive hands-on training from experts. The event will feature two rooms.

One will provide opportunities to interact with the products and collaborate with colleagues. Another room will be used for vendor training and discussions with product experts on how technology can be used in the classroom.

The event, which is from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., is open to all elementary and middle school educators. Teachers can receive in-service credits for attending.
