A house in Tamalanrea district in Makassar, South Sulawesi, caught fire on Wednesday night. Three people died in the incident.
The bodies of Nursiah,70, Fitri,35, and Rafada, 2, were buried on Thursday.
Located in a densely populated area, the house was nearly destroyed. Seven fire trucks were deployed to the scene after locals reported the fire around 8 p.m on Wednesday.
The fire was extinguished before it spread to neighboring homes.
Mochamad Hasanuddin, the operational head of the Makassar Fire and Rescue Agency, said all three victims were found in the bathroom. "We found them dead," he said.

It was suspected the fire was caused by candles. The area had been experiencing blackouts the morning of the incident.
"After sunset, residents lit candles. Maybe the candles fell and started the fire," said Comr. Syamsul Bachri, the Tamalanrea Police chief.
Syamsul said a team from the forensics lab of the South Sulawesi Police had been deployed to examine the scene. (bbs)
