HOOVER, AL (WBRC) - Hoover police are looking for a gang of razor thieves.

They hit Sam's Club stores in Hoover, Homewood and Tuscaloosa around the first of September.

The three thieves made off with more than $9,000 worth of razors from the Hoover location on Highway 150.

The high cost of razor blades makes them a target for resale on the black market.

"They are after a specific item. With razor blades, they are small, expensive. Depending on how they are stealing them, they can get out of the store with a large quantity of these things," Hoover Police Officer Brian Hale said.

Officer Hale says retailers think the theft ring is organized and may be from out of state.

If you have any information on these thieves, call Hoover police right away.
