POLICE REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department. To anonymously report crime information, call 463-6205.

MAN IN MASK: Caller in the 700 block of South Dora Street reported at 2:37 a.m. Saturday that a man wearing all black with a mask on was running down the street. An officer checked the area.

CAMPING CITATION: An officer cited and released a 56-year-old Campbell man for camping in the 100 block of South Orchard Avenue at 4:01 a.m. Saturday.

CAMPING CITATION: An officer cited and released a 57-year-old Atascadero man for camping in the 500 block of East Perkins Street at 4:01 a.m. Saturday.

TRANSIENT CRAWLING IN STREET: Caller in the 200 block of South School Street reported at 8:08 a.m. Saturday that a “transient was crawling in the middle of the street.” No further information was provided.

TRANSIENTS CAMPING: Caller in the 700 block of Orr Street reported at 8:23 a.m. Saturday that transients were camping behind her house under a tarp near an oak tree. An officer responded but the group was gone.

VEHICLE EGGED: Caller in the 1200 block of South Dora Street reported at 8:28 a.m. Saturday that his vehicle had been egged.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: An officer responded to the 700 block of North Pine Street at 11:56 a.m. Saturday and arrested Jessica Garcia, 19, of Kentucky, on suspicion of domestic violence. She was booked into Mendocino County Jail.

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Ukiah Police Department regarding calls handled by the Fort Bragg Police Department.

DUI ARREST: An officer stopped a vehicle on South Main Street at 11:34 p.m. Saturday and arrested Michael T. Bruno, 26, of Oroville, on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was cited and released.

SHERIFF’S REPORTS

The following were compiled from reports prepared by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:

ATTEMPTED MURDER: A Leggett man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Tuesday after he stabbed his neighbor in the chest, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. Forrest Wildberger, 26, was drunk when he allegedly pulled out a knife during a fight and stabbed his neighbor, a 27-year-old man, in the chest, the MCSO reported. The neighbor was reportedly flown to a hospital in Butte County and was in stable condition later that day. Wildberger was arrested and booked into county jail, held under $250,000 bail.

DRUG MANUFACTURING: Greg William Carmichael, 38, of Vallejo, Calif., was booked at county jail on Friday on suspicion of manufacturing drugs by chemical extraction. He was arrested by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

WITNESS INTIMIDATION: Jenise Marie Lugo, 41, of Fort Bragg, was booked at county jail on Friday on suspicion of intimidating a witness to prevent them from testifying and domestic battery. He was arrested by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

NARCOTICS POSSESSION: David Kay Borup, 49, of Willits, was booked at county jail on Saturday on suspicion of possessing narcotics for sale. He was arrested by the Willits Police Department.

DRUG POSSESSION: Elisa Suzanne Cervantes, 35, of Boonville, was booked at county jail on Saturday on suspicion of possessing drugs and destroying or concealing documentary evidence. She was arrested by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

ASSAULT WITH DEADLY WEAPON: Kelly Dyan Foutz, 34, of Willits, was booked at county jail on Saturday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, false imprisonment and elder abuse. She was arrested by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office.

Those arrested by law enforcement officers are innocent until proven guilty. People reported as having been arrested may contact the Daily Journal once their case has been concluded so the results can be reported. Those who feel the information is in error should contact the appropriate agency. In the case of those arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, all DUI cases reported by law enforcement agencies are reported by the newspaper. CORRECTIONS

Aug. 19 edition: A Page 1 article on the pear harvest in the Saturday edition of The Daily Journal misidentified pear farmer Hal Pauli.

Aug. 20 edition: A Page 1 article on the proposed Ukiah housing development Vineyard Crossing in the Sunday edition of The Daily Journal contained an incorrect figure. The duplexes count for 35 percent of the developer’s total lots.
