Two-alarm fire tears through old Jeannette Brewery
Smoke and flames could be seen for miles
A two-alarm fire tore through the old Jeannette Brewery late Monday night in Westmoreland County. The smoke and flames could be seen for miles. Fire crews worked for hours to knock down the fire in the vacant building on Penn Avenue. A nearby water main break made it tough for crews to get proper pressure. The roof also collapsed, but the fire chief tells Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that actually helped their firefight. No injuries were reported.
