A car crashed into a Starbucks in California Thursday afternoon, leaving at least seven people injured, authorities said.

The two-car collision happened when one of the cars careened into the coffee shop shortly after 1 p.m. in Valley Glen, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Three ambulances arrived at the scene and transported three people to local hospitals, a Fire Department spokeswoman said.

The remainder of the patients were being evaluated at the scene, the spokeswoman said.

KABC-TV reported that two people suffered serious injuries. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims.
