Havana, June 29 (RHC)-- Cuba has condemned the latest terrorist attack in Caracas, Venezuela, against the country's Supreme Court of Justice and the Ministry of Popular Power for Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace.

A statement released Wednesday by the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MINREX) described the attack as 'terrorist and coup-mongering.' It further termed as 'unjustifiable' that certain governments and political figures, instead of expressing resolute and direct opposition to these acts, present them as a 'presumed police rebellion', and manipulate them to incite the rupture of Venezuela's civic-military union, and to attack the dignified decision of President Nicolás Manduro to avert chaos.

The MINREX statement reads: “It is not surprising that the Organization of American States (OAS) and its secretary general have become, with their silence, accomplices of what happened and may happen in Venezuela.”

“Cuba resolutely rejects the use of terrorism and foreign interference in Venezuela,” continued the statement, and reiterated the country's unwavering support for and solidarity with the Bolivarian Revolution and its legitimate leaders.

And the MINREX statement concluded: “Nothing and no one will prevent the brave people of Bolívar and Chávez from fighting with determination to defend their ideas and achievements, and restore the peace that others have broken.”
