ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCT) – A crash caused major traffic delays in Nash County Sunday afternoon into Sunday night.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation said I-95 southbound at U.S. Highway 64 was reduced to one lane for several hours.

The lane was finally reopened around 8:30 p.m. Authorities said the crash involved a hazardous situation stemming from an oil leak.

Both southbound lanes of I-95 were initially closed.
