Redlands Opera Theatre will present “Amahl and the Night Visitors” by Gian Carlo Menotti at 5 p.m. Jan. 7 and 8 in the sanctuary of First Congregational Church of Redlands, 2 W. Olive Ave.
Tickets are $5 and are available only at the door, beginning at 4:30 before each performance.
“Amahl and the Night Visitors,” based on Italian folk tales of the Nativity and Epiphany, is a one-act opera in English about a boy named Amahl and his mother who receive a special visit from three Magi on their way to visit the Christ Child.
The work is performed throughout the United States every Christmas season.
Redlands Opera Theatre will perform the opera with piano accompaniment.
