NOBLE CO., Ind. (WANE) A driver was pinned inside his car after a crash near Albion. The Noble County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene at about 6:15 p.m. on Friday, December 2 off South 375 West.
Sterling Ellet, 27, was driving north when his vehicle went off the road, veered into the east side of the road and into a yard. Then the car went north off the road and hit a pick-up truck stopped at a mailbox.
Due to the damage of Ellet’s vehicle, emergency responders had to cut him out of the car. He was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.
It’s unclear if the driver and passenger in the truck were hurt.
The crash is still under investigation by the Indiana State Police Reconstructionists.
