One person was killed Monday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 99 in Merced County, the California Highway Patrol said.The crash happened about 12:45 p.m. when one of the vehicles going north on Highway 99 near Bloss Road crossed into the southbound lanes of traffic, according to the CHP.The southbound lanes were shut down west of Winton Parkway in Livingston as crews cleared the scene.Traffic was backed up for several miles. The road reopened about 3:40 p.m.There are cerement barriers along the highway in certain areas, but not where the crash happened.No other information was released.
