SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (WTNH) — Some residents in South Windsor are without power following a car crash that brought down a pole and wires on Saturday afternoon.

According to the South Windsor Fire Department, a crash took place in the area of 628 Neiderwerfer Road around 3:50 p.m.

Officials say the driver was not hurt in the crash, but a power pole and lines were brought down.

The road has been shut down as officials are waiting for Eversource and Frontier to install a new pole and to put the wires back up to restore power.

It is not known when the work will be completed.
