3 Games with at least 50 points have been posted by Alabama in 2018, making the Crimson Tide the first team in SEC history with three consecutive 50-point games to open a season. Eleven other SEC teams had started a season with back-to-back 50-point games, but none had made it three in a row. The first team to do that was Georgia Tech in 1936, and the feat wasn't accomplished again until 1994 by Florida. The other teams have been Arkansas in 2011, Florida in 1996, 1999 and 2009, Kentucky in 1998 and 2007, Ole Miss in 2015 and Texas A&M in 2013 and 2014. Overall, Alabama is on its first three-game streak of 50-plus points since 1945. Alabama defeated Kentucky 60-19, Vanderbilt 71-0, Pensacola NAS 55-16 and Mississippi State 55-13 in its final four games of the 1945 regular season.
