Perspective with Uzbekistan. A Kyrgyz delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Industry, Energy and Subsoil Use of the Kyrgyz Republic Jyrgalbek Sagynbaev held talks in Tashkent with Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Utkir Butaev and discussed further priority areas of bilateral cooperation.

The main attention was paid to the development of trade and economic cooperation and the strengthening of business ties between the Kyrgyz Republic and Uzbekistan in such areas as industry, namely light industry, energy, subsoil use and others.

Following the meeting, representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic highly appreciated the great opportunities for entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan aimed at creating wide opportunities for even more efficient activities and expressed interest in establishing cooperation with Uzbek partners.

In the framework of negotiations in B2B format, President of Legprom, the Association of Enterprises of Light Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic Saparbek Asanov and founder of Textile Trans LLC Almazbek Abdraev held talks with Director General of BMB Trade Group Mahmud Asamov on cooperation in the field of light and textile industry.

Kyrgyzstan's GDP for the month. Kyrgyzstan's GDP in January 2019, compared with the same period last year, grew by 6.4%.

According to data of the National Statistics Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, the volume of GDP in January 2019 amounted to 30 billion soms and grew by 3.5%.

The socio-economic situation of the republic and the regions in January 2019 was characterized by an improvement in the main indicators.

The growth of GDP was affected by an increase in the volume of industries producing goods and services. The largest share in the structure of GDP fell on the industry providing services, which in total amounted to 45%. The share of industry was about 26%, agriculture about 8% and construction about 3%. Excluding the enterprise for the development of the Kumtor deposit, the volume of GDP in January amounted to about 27 billion soms. The volume of industrial output at the beginning of the year amounted to more than 19 billion soms, and compared with the previous year increased by 15.7%. The increase in industrial production in January was due to an increase in the production of metal ores, coal, crude oil and natural gas.

Agricultural products to Uzbekistan. An agreement was reached between the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan on signing the Cooperation Program for 2019.

It became possible as a result of Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation Nurbek Murashev’s visit to Tashkent, who held talks with Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodzhaev and other officials.

During the talks, the sides discussed the supply of Kyrgyz potatoes to Uzbekistan, mineral fertilizers, cotton seeds and wheat to the Kyrgyz Republic, the elimination of barriers / restrictions to bilateral trade, as well as topical issues of bilateral cooperation.

State debt of the Kyrgyz Republic. The public debt of Kyrgyzstan is $4 billion 464 million.

According to the stated data of Deputy Director of the Central Treasury of the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic M. Amandykov, 85.7% of which is external debt, 14.3% is internal debt.

Deputy Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic Almazbek Azimov added that in relation to the GDP, the national debt of the country is 56%, of which external debt is 48%, internal debt is 8%.

“In 2018, we were able to reduce the amount of foreign debt. In 2017, this figure was 53.1%. We are trying to reduce foreign loans and increase domestic ones,” he explained.

The income of the Social Fund. According to the information of Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov, the inflation in 2018 was at a low level, which is mainly due to low food prices.

“The consumer price index characterizing the inflation rate was 0.5%, this is December 2018 compared to December of the previous year. The same indicator in 2017 was 3.7%. The average annual inflation rate of January-December 2018 compared to January-December 2017, was 1.5%, whereas in January-December 2017 compared to January-December 2016 it was 3.2%,” he said.

The minister noted that the average salary in the country amounted to 15,747 soms, its real size, calculated taking into account the consumer price index, increased by 4.2% and exceeded the subsistence minimum by 3.3 times. The subsistence minimum in 2018 was at the level of 4,792.54 soms and decreased by 2.2% compared to 2017.

The size of the pension. As a result of the increase of pension rate from October 1, 2018, the average size of pensions in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 5,682 soms.

In 2018 the entire required amount for payment of pensions and other social benefits in the amount of 42,430.1 million soms was financed in full. There are no debts in the payment of pensions as of January 1, 2019. As of January 1, 2019, the number of recipients of pensions in the republic was 651.9 thousand people, compared to 2017, the number of pensioners increased by 18.1 thousand people.

Organic in Bavaria. Kyrgyz farmers may be able to supply organic agricultural products to European markets. This became known after the visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Chingiz Aidarbekov to the Federal Land of Bavaria.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aidarbekov held three meetings: with Vice President of the Land Parliament (Landtag) of Bavaria, Karl Freller, with member of the board of the Union of Cooperatives Regina Wenninger, and with chairman of the board of BayWa AG, Professor Klaus Josef Lutz concerning the supply of goods from Kyrgyzstan
