Official : Teenage Nigerian Striker Joins Croatian Club HNK Hajduk Split
Published: May 21, 2019Croatian Prva HNL side HNK Hajduk Split have confirmed the signing of promising Nigerian attacker, Stephen Chinedu.
Aged nineteen, he was offered a contract by the six-time Croatian champions following a successful trial that lasted for about two weeks.
He has penned a three-year contract that will keep him at HNK Hajduk Split until at least the end of the 2021-2022 season.
Chinedu arrived in Neretvanac FC in the winter along with compatriot Uche Anoruoom and was invited to train with HNK Hajduk Split after impressing in a friendly game against Hajduk junior.
Goodness Ajayi, Erhun Obanor, Musa Muhammed, Godfrey Oboabona and Iyayi Believe made appearances for Croatian top flight clubs in the 2018-2019 season.
HNK Hajduk Split are third in the standings with 62 points after 35 matches in the division, with one round remaining.
