The state-owned national postal operator Poczta Polska signed a preliminary agreement with its Chinese counterpart, the China Post group, in an effort to increase its revenue from international activity to PLN 1.5 billion to 2021, as specified in Poczta Polska's strategy.
Under the agreement, Poczta Polska will transfer Chinese postal matters to 30 European countries via its logistics hub in Malaszewicze near the Belarussan border, where they will be delivered from China by railroad.
Polish companies will be able to benefit from this cooperation, as Poczta Polska is thinking of establishing a special e-commerce platform for domestic businesses to help them reach Chinese clients, the Poczta Polska chairman Przemyslaw Sypniewski says as cited by the daily Puls Biznesu.
