Former glamour team Youth Milan rolled back the years as Wotton suffered a harsh reintroduction to life in the upper echelons of Barbadian football.
Youth Milan handed Wotton a morale-zapping 4-1 defeat on Sunday’s opening night of the inaugural Capelli Super Cup at the Wildey Turf.
Wotton outplayed their Group B rivals Milan in the first half and held a 1-0 lead at the interval thanks to captain Reco “Sas” Baptiste, but a wasteful second half display in front scores of their supporters condemned them to the heaviest defeat so far in the tournament.
In the opening match, Scotty’s Car Rentals St Andrew Lions showed great strength and grit as they dispatched Whitehall Titans 2-0 in their Group F clash with the influential Akeem Ramsey grabbing a goal and an assist. (NM)
