Havana, May 6 (ACN) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation to address priorities on the Cuba-Russia bilateral agenda, following the reelection of President Vladimir Putin.
On his X account https://rb.gy/sznkzb , President Dia-Canel announced his trip to China during which he will attend the Council of the Supreme Court of the Eurasian Economic Union.
The visit takes place in the framework of the 64th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Havana and Moscow, and the 79th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War.
The Cuban head of state paid an official visit to Russia in November 2022. In that occasion he held talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Russia and Cuba share bilateral cooperation relations in the fields of energy, the metal industry, transport, and others.
Russia was among Cuba’s major tourist markets in 2023 after the resumption of direct flights between the two nations.
