Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen and her Czech counterpart Jan Lipavsky on Monday met in Luxembourg and discussed various bilateral and international issues.

The meeting between the Foreign Ministers focused on bilateral relations, situation in Ukraine, European Union and NATO, according to the social media posts of the ministers.

“A very like-minded meeting with my Czech colleague Jan Lipavsky. Thanked for the much-needed ammunition initiative to Ukraine. The relations between Finland and Czech Republic are very good. Looking forward to deepening our cooperation further, bilaterally as well as in EU and NATO,” Valtonen wrote in her social media platform X.

“I appreciated the Finnish involvement in the Czech munition initiative for Ukraine. Finland knows what it's like to have Russia as a neighbour. It's a valuable experience, and we're glad that Finland joined NATO- we are stronger together,” Lipavsky wrote in a post in his social media platform X after the meeting.
