Sadhguru Is 'Back In Action', Reaches Bali For 10-Day Event A Month After Brain Surgery

Spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev ‘Sadhguru’ on Friday reached Indonesia’s Bali for a “10-day exploration of culture and spirituality, a month after an emergency brain surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in New Delhi after suffering “life-threatening" bleeding in the skull.

Isha Foundation posted on X: “Back in Action! @SadhguruJV Arrives for Mystic Musings- A 10 day exploration of culture and Spirituality in South East Asia – Bali, Indonesia."

Indraprastha Apollo Hospital had announced in a statement that “the surgery was performed on March 17 to remove bleeding in the skull." Following the procedure, Sadhguru was weaned off the ventilator. The hospital reported that he had made “steady progress". In addition, Sadhguru recorded a video from his hospital bed on Instagram, talking about the surgery. “The Apollo hospital neurosurgeons cut through my skull to try and find something but found nothing — totally empty. So they gave up and patched it up. Here I am in Delhi with the patched-up skull but no damaged brain," he added.

Following the news, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had taken to X, sharing his conversation with Sadhguru. He wrote, “Spoke to @SadhguruJV Ji and wished him good health and a speedy recovery." In his reply, Sadhguru had written, “Beloved Pradhan Mantriji, I should not be a Concern to you. You have a Nation to conduct. Overwhelmed by your concern, on my way to recovery. Dhanyavad."

Later, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar had also wished Sadhguru a speedy recovery. “Deeply concerned on hearing about Sadhguru ji’s surgery. Wish him a speedy and full recovery," he wrote.

“Today when I saw Sadhguru ji lay on ICU bed I was suddenly hit by the mortal nature of his existence, before this it never occurred to me that he is bones, blood, flesh just like us," actor Kangana Ranaut had said. “I felt God has collapsed, I felt earth has shifted, sky has abandoned me, I feel my head spinning, I can’t make sense of this reality and choose not to believe this but then suddenly I break down," she added.

Sadhguru was discharged from hospital on March 27.

The Isha Foundation was founded by the 66-year-old spiritual guru. Sadhguru is also well known for starting several initiatives and environmental conservation projects including ‘Save Soil’ and ‘Rally for Rivers’.
