Her official title might be Queen of Spain—but if it were up to us, we’d also bestow upon her the title Letizia, Queen of Fashion.

The Spanish royal is continuing to challenge what it means to dress like a queen and constantly showing out with great fashion moments. Queen Letizia captures our attention time and again, and when the season’s trends get her royal treatment, we make sure to take especially careful notes.

Most recently, the fabulous wife of King Felipe VI championed a spring staple we are bound to see all season long: the satin skirt. Attending a reception at the Barbizon Palace Hotel in Amsterdam, Letizia made a sophisticated entrance in a pearl-hued maxi skirt that flowed down her body like water. The piece had a gorgeous sheen that oozed opulence and elegance and a breezy, graceful feel that makes it perfect for warm weather. She tucked a black long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder top into the skirt and cinched everything together at the waist with a wide black leather belt. For the final touches, the queen added glossy black slingback kitten heels with a pointy toe, a tiny black woven clutch bag, a silver ring, and glistening diamond-adorned statement earrings. For beauty, Letizia wore her rich brown lob down and straight with a slight side part, and glammed up with bronzy makeup complete with a glowy blush, rusty smoky eye, and glossy burnt-red lip.

This isn’t the only trend Letizia has tapped into lately. Earlier this month, the royal cashed in on the pop-of-red fad in an ivory bow blouse by Carolina Herrera, which she tucked into high-waisted leather pants in a deep red by Hugo Boss and paired with matching leather kitten heels by Magrit. Last month, she stepped out in another It girl shoe: a chunky black loafer. Then, she teamed the preppy footwear with a black long-sleeved sweater, deep teal trousers, and a narrow black belt.

Slip skirts have long been a favored springtime garment, with celebrities including Emily Ratajkowski and Jennifer Lawrence reaching for the bottoms as soon as temps hit 60 degrees.
