(KPL) On January 19, Ms Suansavanh Viyaket, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism (ICT), and her delegation inspected and monitored the ASEAN tourism exhibition at the Lao ITECC and the venue of the ASEAN Tourism Minister (ATF) at the Don Chan Palace Hotel in Vientiane.
(KPL) On January 19, Ms Suansavanh Viyaket, Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism (ICT), and her delegation inspected and monitored the ASEAN tourism exhibition at the Lao ITECC and the venue of the ASEAN Tourism Minister (ATF) at the Don Chan Palace Hotel in Vientiane.
Director General of Tourist Marketing Department, Mr Khom Douangchantha, reported on the preparation of the ASEAN Tourism Exhibition which scheduled on January 22-27, at the Lao ITECC, drawing nearly 100 booths from ASEAN member countries and more than 30 booths from Lao PDR to display.
Among of the host country are 12 booths from Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, two booths from Champasack Province, ten booths from local tourism business and hotels, six booths of Lao Telecom and two booths from the bank.
While the ASEAN member countries will display at the exhibition, including six booths from Cambodia, six booths from Indonesia, four booths from Malaysia, two from Myanmar, nine from the Philippines, four from Thailand, six from Vietnam, two from Asia Travel weekly magazine of Singapore.
Local small, medium entrepreneurs have been urged to display their products in an effort to promote the Lao products via this event.
