A Senate resolution recognizing the Philippine soft tennis team for their medal haul in the recently held 32nd Southeast Asian Games in Cambodia was passed on May 31, 2023.
Sponsored in the Senate by Sen. Sonny Angara with Sen. Bong Go as co-sponsor and signed by Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, resolution No. 66 noted that the Philippine Soft Tennis Association – under the guidance of chairman emeritus Dr./Brig. Gen. Antonio Laperal Tamayo and national president Cpt. Robert Joseph Moran – won three gold medals, one silver and one bronze in the SEA Games.
