SKK Migas thanks God that the activity has returned to normal.
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Upstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Special Task Force (SKK Migas) assured that gas supplies to Singapore had returned to normal on Thursday after falling earlier due to suspension of operations at two fields.

SKK Migas and its consortium West Natuna Transportation System (WNTS) has resumed the operation of the Anoa field to increase gas supplies to the neighboring country, the task force's operations deputy, Julius Wiratno, said in a written statement released on Thursday.

"SKK Migas thanks God that the activity has returned to normal," he remarked.

Gas supplies to Singapore had fallen following the unplanned shutdown of the Anoa field in Riau Islands province on July 21, 2021, he noted.

Meanwhile, gas supplies from Gajah Baru field were also suspended on July 23, 2021 due to a planned repair, which was notified to customers, he said.

The suspended operation of the two gas fields had led to a decline in gas supplies to Singapore, he explained.

SKK Migas had earlier assured that gas supplies to Singapore would increase after the Anoa gas field operated by Premier Oil Natuna Sea BV resumed operations on Wednesday (July 28, 2021).

With the Anoa gas field now operational, as of Thursday, Singapore has received 300 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd) of gas, in accordance with the contract, Wiratno said.
