The toxic haze that blanketed Indonesia has reached the Philippines, particularly Cebu.

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources in Central Visayas on Wednesday called on Cebu residents to take safety measures and wear protective equipment such as masks or goggles to protect themselves from air pollutants.
