NuLu Bock Fest focusing on Kentucky agriculture
From the grain that makes the beer to the goats racing in the NuLu Bock Fest- local agriculture is the focus.
The fourth annual event will be held Saturday on East Market Street.
Attendees can expect bock beer, goat racing and bratwursts.
NuLu is home to two alleys named Nanny Goat Strut and Billy Goat Strut.
Goats from Sunny Acres Farm will be racing hourly.
The farm will also set up a petting zoo with different types of animals for children to pet.
More than 14 local and regional breweries will be offering their versions of bock beer.
Local restaurants will be creating their own bratwursts as part of the Wurst Fest. A panel of judges will determine the winner, but people will be able to sample their way through the lineup.
The Jefferson County Farm Bureau will be bringing in educational demonstrations, including antique tractors and a model cow to show kids how to milk.
NuLu Bock Fest is free and open to the public.
It will run from noon to 7 p.m.
