Kuwait may open first Islamic bank in Kyrgyzstan

El Kuwait, Feb. 19, 2019. / Kabar /. Shumkarbek Adilbek uulu, director of the Agency for Attracting and Protecting Investments of Kyrgyzstan met in El Kuwait with board member of the Kuwaiti Finance House and Turkapital Fawaz Al-Issa, a subsidiary of the Kuwaiti Finance House.

The meeting from the Kyrgyz side was attended by Counselor of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the State of Kuwait Abdulaziz Botbayev and General Director of Mol Bulak Finance Baburdzhan Tolbaev.

The main issue of the meeting was the opening of the first Islamic bank in Kyrgyzstan. The Director of the Agency spoke about investment opportunities and the banking system of Kyrgyzstan, and also made a presentation on the opening of an Islamic bank in the country.

Fawaz Al-Issa said that the opening of an Islamic bank in the Kyrgyz Republic really has great prospects, so today the Kuwaiti Finance House is considering and studying the Kyrgyz market. Opening a bank has only temporary issues, that is, the Kuwaiti Financial House needs to carefully study the issues of entering the financial market of Kyrgyzstan.

Also, as part of the meeting, Mol Bulak Finance offered to enter Turkapital into the capital of a microfinance company on Islamic finance. To which Mr. Fawaz Issa answered positively and expressed his willingness to consider this proposal.

The Kuwaiti Finance House is the world's leading Islamic finance bank.
