Bishkek, Dec. 19, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan within the framework of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that during the meeting, the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries, current and emerging issues of the Kyrgyz-Emirate cooperation were discussed.
The sides were equally of the opinion that there is a need for further intensification of the bilateral relations through organization of top and high-level visits, the Second Inter-MFA consultations and the meeting of the Joint Kyrgyz-Emirati Intergovernmental Commission, and the participation of Kyrgyzstan in the upcoming EXPO 2020 in the UAE. Special attention was paid to intensification of the economic relations in the field of tourism, supply of Kyrgyz agricultural products, use of the benefits of Kyrgyzstan’s accession to the International Halal Accreditation Organization headquartered in the UAE, and promotion of transport and logistics centers in the Kyrgyz Republic and financial cooperation.
There was an in-depth exchange of views on topical issues on the international agenda and cooperation between the two countries in international organizations.
Aidarbekov invited his Emirati counterpart to visit Kyrgyzstan with an official visit at any convenient time; the invitation was kindly accepted.
