Two stallion zebras butted heads and bit each other as they fought over a mare in Namibia. 

The dramatic battle kicked off between the two males as they tussled and kicked up clouds of dust in a vicious love-spat between the pair of rivals.

Stunning photographs of the two beasts taking chunks out of each other were taken at the Etosha National Park in Namibia.

Clint said: 'Each herd has a dominant stallion who looks after his mares. Every now and then a stallion would try and steal another's mare

The 56-year-old photographer from Gauteng, South Africa, added: 'The primal fight is just so exhilarating. I found it very exciting. 'We were sitting at a Waterhole in Etosha, Namibia. The Zebra herds were coming and going'
