North Carolina proved too much for Chicago as the Courage posted two goals and shutout the Red Stars for a 2-0 victory Tuesday at Providence Park.

PREGAME

After their match was moved due to Hurricane Florence battering the east coast, the Chicago Red Stars and North Carolina Courage have flown west to play their National Women's Soccer League semifinal matchup in Portland on Tuesday with kickoff at 6 p.m. PST.

The winner of Tuesday's game will advance to face the Portland Thorns in the 2018 NWSL Championship Game on Saturday, Sept. 22 at Providence Park. Portland bested Seattle 2-1 over the weekend to reach the final once again after winning the NWSL title in 2017.

What: The first-place North Carolina Courage will host the fourth-place Chicago Red Stars in the semifinal round of the 2018 NWSL playoffs.
