ARGENTINA: Government Declares Agricultural Emergency In Cordoba Province

(Agencia CMA Latam) - The Argentinean government declared an agricultural emergency in several areas of the drought-hit Cordoba province. The decision creates temporary benefits to local producers - tax breaks among them.

The emergency will stay in place for six months for agricultural producers that were affected during the 2017/2018 crop cycle and for nine months for livestock, fruit and honey producers.

Benefits during that period include an extended deadline for paying federal taxes and special financing conditions at the Banco de la Nacion Argentina.
