On loan Wolves ace Diogo Jota spoke to reporters about his rise to prominence with the Black Country outfit this season, and opened up on the reason why he chose to move to Molineux in the summer, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The 21-year-old joined Wolves on a season-long loan from Atletico Madrid in the summer, and has been sensational for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, scoring nine goals and chipping in with four assists in 21 Championship outings thus far.

The Black Country outfit are currently sitting pretty at the top of the table, four points clear of second placed Cardiff City, and more importantly, eight points ahead of third placed Bristol City.

Nuno deserves great credit for the manner in which he has transformed Wolves into arguably the Championship’s best footballing side, but it would not have been possible without some of his superb summer signings – none more impressive than Jota.

The Portuguese spoke to reporters about his fine form, and shared why he chose to join Nuno’s revolution at Molineux, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“When I arrived here, I knew that it would change me as a person and as a footballer and of course when I say me, I mean all of the players here that arrived. We are all doing well and we have to keep going. When I thought about coming here, I thought that English football would benefit me as a player. When I am young, I need to learn from different experiences to become a better player.”

Next up for Wolves is a trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, and Jota and co will have to be at their very best, if they are to leave south Yorkshire with anything to show for their efforts.
