Two motorcyclists injured after weekend crash in Jefferson County

Two Wyandotte County motorcyclists were injured Saturday after they collided north of Perry.

Devin Michael Belknap, 27, of Bonner Springs, and David Kyle Collins, 44, of Edwardsville, were traveling northbound on Ferguson Road with another biker Saturday.

Just before 4 p.m. they attempted to pass another car about eight miles north of Perry. When a southbound car came into view, Belknap swerved to avoid it and collided with Collins, the Kansas Highway Patrol said.

The men were thrown from the bikes. Neither was wearing a helmet. Both were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries.
