A northwest suburban man died Monday afternoon after a crash in Hebron.

Richard R. Goben, 52, was driving southbound in the 9000 block of Illinois Street when when his car went off the road and crashed into a tree, according to the McHenry County coroner’s office.

The Hebron resident was taken to Mercy Harvard Hospital in Harvard where he was pronounced dead at 4:09 p.m., the coroner’s office said.

An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.
